Botanicals

The botanicals sourced are from traditional landowners and we engage the local community to harvest and collect which enables us to support families living from the land.

Juniper: Woody, piney, fragrant, spicy
Quandong: Dry lentils or beans, with some earthy & fermented notes. Strong intensity, tart with a salty taste
Coriander: Coriander

This painting is a contemporary design that depicts my interpretation of "Tanami", an area located north-west of Alice Springs and into Western Australia. 

The colours represent the Tanami landscape and surrounding areas. Bright blue circles represent rock holes in the area which are said to never run dry. Fruit on the green vines are bush bananas, and the large orange line across the middle of the painting is the path where Aboriginal people walked across country. 

Also depicted are rocks on the ground, rain falling on the hills, colour full flowers and vegetation and meeting places. 

The Tanami is a very sacred place with many important stories and song lines.
